Oatmeal cookies

Although not impossible, it is difficult to work with only oatmeal. we need to alloy it with another type of flour.

Ingredients:
1 pack Quaker Oats
1 cup sugar
1 cup ghee
 1 cup atta
honey in the end
.....
Grind the Quaker oats into a fine flour. add ghee to it, along with sugar and little bit of flour, until you have a dough. grease cookie sheet, put on a non stick pan, and put inside the oven, preheated at 150 degrees centigrade. Bake and be cautious of the underside of the cookie-it has a tendency to burn!

Traditional Cookies

Remember the lovely smell of baking wafting out as your grandmother bakes her favourite biscuits, her secret recipe, you delight in eating them, wow! I sort of cheated my grandmother's recipe, and golly, did it not turn out to be marvellous!
This is the basic recipe of biscuits, which comes with practise. There are variations too, so i lovingly call it Beginner's Biscuit.

Ingredients:
1 cup flour
Milk
1 cup melted ghee
granulated sugar
Baking powder (standard measure: see Baking Basics and Measures)
Baking Soda (standard measure : see Baking Basics and Measures)
1 tsp semolina
opt: choco chips or tutti frutti
.............................
Note Before Baking
.............................

My first plate of biscuits were disastrous.
Biscuits should be a bit fat, not thin. You ahve to knead a kind of dough, which you can flatten and then cut out with the rim of a steel glass
You shall need a non stick tray, if not, a well greased steel plate will do. Decorate the biscuits, make sure they bake ata low temp, you will have a good batch.
This is my grandmother's recipe, and it turns out awesome for her. Hope the same for you!
..............................
Procedure:
Sieve the flour+baking powder+baking soda
Add melted ghee+sugar
Knead the mix into a dough
add semolina or additional flavouring.
Flatten dough with a rolling pin, not very thin. Use the rim of a steel glass or cookie cutters to cut out shapes. decorate the top wiith choco chips or tutti frutti.
Grease the steel plate/non stick tray. Place butter paper on it.
Place biscuits and bake on a low temperature.

Citrus Cake

This is a lovely cake and i am proud of it. I have always liked lemon and orange as flavours. They taste so good when applied on cake. Though my family prefers banana better, this warm gooey cake will always remain my favourite.

INGREDIENTS
Semolina 1 teaspoon
Eggs 3
flour (whole wheat)
butter/oil 1 cup
sugar 1 cup
baking soda 1 standard pinch
baking powder 1 level spoon
Orange or lemon peels
Salt 1 standard pinch
Almond Oil 1 spoon
Orange Juice as per consistency
Vanilla essence 1 spoon
Orange Marmalade 1 tablespoon
.................................
Note before Cooking
...................................
Semolina gives your cake a good rough texture, and adds to it a lovely brown color. Some of us are vegetarians, so instead of eggs, a tin of condensed milk will do. Instead of whole wheat, you can even use normal flour, but whole wheat is of course healthier and will give you a dense cake
Fill the cup with butter and oil, since excess butter is never good.
I use a standard cup of sugar, It turns out to be neither to sweet nor less. Just Perfect
All of us use different baking measuring utensils  Maybe my 1 cup is a bit smaller than yours, so use your instincts for that.
Baking Soda and Powder shouldn't be much, there is a chance your cake may end up crazy.
You can choose your flavor of citrus. I prefer Orange because you can add other orange products to it, and it goes with more stuff than lemon does. Dont use marmalade or orange juice if you have chosen lemonn as your flavouring.
Vanilla essence is added to do away with the smell of eggs, though it isnt really required with condensed milk. Add edible almond oil for more flavour.
The consistency of your batter should be just right. It should be a thick liquid.
.....
Procedure
Preheat Oven at 150 C
Beat the eggs. Add vanila essence. Take the flour and sieve it with baking powder and soda. Mix
In a separate bowl, melt butter or oil and add sugar to it. This process is called creaming. Add this mixture to the eggs and flour.
Put orange peels in the batter, if wanted, add orange juice and orange marmalade along with almond oil to enhance the taste.
To the batter, add 1 spoon semolina
Grease cake tin. Fill it halfway with batter.
Place it in the oven and bake for 20 mins. extend time if necessary.
