Traditional Cookies

Remember the lovely smell of baking wafting out as your grandmother bakes her favourite biscuits, her secret recipe, you delight in eating them, wow! I sort of cheated my grandmother's recipe, and golly, did it not turn out to be marvellous!
This is the basic recipe of biscuits, which comes with practise. There are variations too, so i lovingly call it Beginner's Biscuit.

Ingredients:
1 cup flour
Milk
1 cup melted ghee
granulated sugar
Baking powder (standard measure: see Baking Basics and Measures)
Baking Soda (standard measure : see Baking Basics and Measures)
1 tsp semolina
opt: choco chips or tutti frutti
.............................
Note Before Baking
.............................

My first plate of biscuits were disastrous.
Biscuits should be a bit fat, not thin. You ahve to knead a kind of dough, which you can flatten and then cut out with the rim of a steel glass
You shall need a non stick tray, if not, a well greased steel plate will do. Decorate the biscuits, make sure they bake ata low temp, you will have a good batch.
This is my grandmother's recipe, and it turns out awesome for her. Hope the same for you!
..............................
Procedure:
Sieve the flour+baking powder+baking soda
Add melted ghee+sugar
Knead the mix into a dough
add semolina or additional flavouring.
Flatten dough with a rolling pin, not very thin. Use the rim of a steel glass or cookie cutters to cut out shapes. decorate the top wiith choco chips or tutti frutti.
Grease the steel plate/non stick tray. Place butter paper on it.
Place biscuits and bake on a low temperature.
